Ledbury makes a wonderful base for your holiday with many wonderful sights (and sites!) within easy reach.  Don’t forget to explore Ledbury with its timber framed houses, Market house, cobbled street, museums and church.
Music
Three Choirs Festival - we are almost equidistant from Hereford, Worcester or Gloucester
Elgar - enjoy the Elgar trail and the Elgar Birthplace Museum near Worcester
Holst - The Holst Birthplace Museum is in the Regency spa town of Cheltenham
Poetry
In June, Ledbury is home to the annual Ledbury Poetry Festival - featuring world renowned poets.
Castles & Houses
Hellens - Haunted, mainly Jacobean house in Much Marcle with interesting gardens
Eastnor Castle - Just South of Ledbury, this 200 year old castles has lovely grounds and a beautiful interior
Ruined Castles - Ledbury is close to the Welsh Borders - an area of great historical interest and home to many ruined castles including Goodrich (lots of castle for your money and Heaven for children), Skenfrith (romantic setting beside the river Mon), Grosmont & White Castle
Lower Brockhampton - just outside Bromyard, this exquisite National Trust gem is set in a deep valley
Cathedrals
Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester are within easy reach as are Malvern Priory and Tewkesbury Abbey.
Churches
There are many historic churches scattered throughout rural Herefordshire - including Kilpeck (fascinating carvings around the outside), Kempley (mediaeval wall paintings), Hoarwithy (Italianate)
Natural Wonders
The Wye Valley,  Forest of Dean  Malvern Hills Symonds Yat (look for Symonds Yat East if you want to see the stunning view from Yat Rock)
