It has a light, floral bouquet and flavour suggestive of peaches and limes.

Chardonnay, unwooded, House of Certain Views, , 2006 £13.75
This characterful white from the Hunter Valley in Australia is packed full of citrus fruit. Andrew Margon makes this excellent wine without using oak.

Sauvignon Blanc, Oyster Bay, Marlborough, 2005/6 £13.90
New Zealand. Very fresh elegant wine with glorious fruit flavours.

A full-bodied red bursting with spicy plum and red berry fruit, together with a hint of chocolate and vanilla from careful oak aging.

Pinotage, Franschhoek Cellars, Coastal Region. 2006 £13.50
South African. This has good jammy fruits with ripe raspberry overtones. Well-balanced it is a characterful wine with plenty of weight.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Luis Felipe Edwards, Chile. 2006 £13.95
Recommended vineyard, smooth silky, a lighter, easy drinking wine.
